An Awful Start for Greta Van Susteren at MSNBC

Veteran journalist and TV anchor Greta Van Susteren joined MSNBC’s daily lineup yesterday, and after two shows, I could not be more embarrassed for the network. While MSNBC has NEVER been the staunch left-wing voice that the extreme right claims, clearly NEVER the mirror image of that propaganda rag fox fixed news noise, not with network stalwarts such as former gop Congressman Morning Joe holding court, but Van Susteren has now moved the network far from the liberal-progressive position its loyal viewers expect, with a theme right out of the fox fixed playbook, and after two days, it is not pretty, nor is it appreciated.

Over her first two shows, Van Susteren has papered the MSNBC skies with a plethora of gop stalwarts as guests, including the unlikely presence of Sen. John McCain, former gop

head honcho Reince Priebus, now soon to be trump’s chief of staff, ultra-righty Congressman Jason Chaffetz and disgraced former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, most famous for being a staunch advocate of torture and for totally dishonest testimony before Congress.

But having these low life jerks on the air is not the bad part – the thoroughly disgusting part is Van Susteren’s cow-towing to their outrageous party lines, failing to call into question their propaganda, lies, deceit and dishonesty. Giving Gonzales a platform for his garbage is awful, but with Chaffetz, Van Susteren gave credence to on-going investigations in the tea bagger house, based on partisan politics and previously discredited non-evidences, such as in his continued waste of taxpayer time and money on issues relating to Hillary Clinton emails, a dead horse of a non-issue even to trump.

Van Susteren did try to get Chaffetz to admit that time could be better spent on real investigations, such as actually looking into the fact that over 100,000 federal employees have, in recent years, failed to file federal income tax returns, but Chaffetz blew that off,

The Ultimate Green Store

with the half assed answer that it’s the Senate’s fault for not passing new legislature the House has sent to them.

Somehow, Rachel Meadow and Van Susteren have become friends, and listening to Rachel rave about her buddy led many of us to believe that the addition of Van Susteren to the MSNBC lineup would be a plus, but so far, it’s been a disaster. MSNBC viewers watch MSNBC to see the truth, not the gop party line that papers the walls of fox fixed and to a great extent, CNN. Giving air time and credence to a former fox fixed personality who seems to be intent upon bringing that propaganda and deceit to MSNBC, and failing to challenge it in any meaningful way, will alienate viewers and destroy the network.

About theHoundDawg

For many years as a lawyer, I saw much of the good and bad of society, and did what I could to right many wrongs. The lack of understanding of what is good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, as evidenced by such events as the election of King W as president, (who as such far surpassed the evil of richard nixon but not quite that of ronald reagan) lead me in a new direction, to spend my time trying to understand what is happening to our society, to try as best I can to spread my insights to others, and along the way to maybe even eke out a living through the internet.

Couldn’t agree more. My friends and my brother and I are all disgusted with her show. We now watch Wolf Blitzer who surprisingly is more liberal than some of MSNBC these days or t least during Freta’s show. I’m sorry but I don’t get the Maddow promotion of Greta. I saw her introduce her and was shocked but then disappointed when I saw her first few shows. She’s th same person she was on FOX which is not good. Please get her off MSNBC!

Agree completely! The last straw was yesterday when she kept insisting that Rep. McCarthy’s explosive comment about Putin paying Trump was a joke. How does she know?! She hadn’t even heard the recording to hear nuance and tone. It was a horrible spectacle to watch. Why is she on msnbc?
