Resurrected Romney Rejects Record of Reverence

Give a listen:

That was a mere four years ago, when as the gop presidential nominee mitt romney pandered deep and dirty to exalt praise onto donald trump in exchange for his support in the 2012 election: “trump possesses an “extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works”, said old mitt back then.

But today, romney said that “Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,… his promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University.”

It may be a well-earned and well-deserved criticism, but consider the source. As much as trump is totally unqualified to become president of the United States, so was romney, and

as trump’s racism and long history of confidence games and deceit should have totally disqualified him from such candidacy, so should romney’s deposit of millions of dollars in income and assets offshore in order to avoid US income taxes have totally disqualified him from the presidency as well.

But that is ancient history, as as a scared and
befuddled gop establishment grasps for straws (and strawmen), we can now add “as worthless as a degree from Trump University” to romney’s legacy of legendary catch phrases, right next to “the 47%” and the “Binders of Women”.

We can only hope it’s another four years before we again hear from romney.

About theHoundDawg

For many years as a lawyer, I saw much of the good and bad of society, and did what I could to right many wrongs. The lack of understanding of what is good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, as evidenced by such events as the election of King W as president, (who as such far surpassed the evil of richard nixon but not quite that of ronald reagan) lead me in a new direction, to spend my time trying to understand what is happening to our society, to try as best I can to spread my insights to others, and along the way to maybe even eke out a living through the internet.
