My Response to Criticism of My After-Election Post

I have received considerable criticism after posting this last night: “USA: 1776-2014. RIP”

(Why people post on Facebook and not here, I’ll never understand, or accept.)

I STAND BY EVERY THING I SAID AND WOULD NOT CHANGE A WORD. The head of the republican party, rush limbaugh, said today that republicans were NOT ELECTED TO GOVERN but rather to STOP OBAMA. Ted Cruz, the poster boy for reactionary wackos who are now in power has said that they will repeal Obamacare, which would destroy the most successful health insurance reform in US history and take more than 10 million people off of health insurance, and they will stop Obama’s “lawlessness”, but could not name a single specific instance of such conduct.

Federal employees in Iowa, are you ready to defend yourselves from gunfire instigated by Joni Ernst and her followers?

Are you all ready to give up your right to vote? ID today, literacy tests and poll taxes tomorrow - Maybe back to a requirement of being a property owner? Are you the right race to vote? Are you the right gender? What's your religion? Sorry, no Jews of Muslims allowed.

Mitt Romney is a pro-business social and fiscal

conservative, he is not a reactionary whack job like Cruz, Ernst, Tillis, Gardner, Abbott, or the designer and perpetrator of the biggest fraud ever brought against the US, who tried to defraud his state after elected, but was stopped, but now has been handed a second chance, Rick Scott, who should be sharing a cell with g w bush. I would have disagreed with most of Romney’s policies, but he would not intentionally destroy 21st century society to return to a 17th century social and political system like cruz, ernst, gardner, inhofe, coburn, grassley, ron johnson, rubio, and the rest will UNQUESTIONABLY ATTEMPT TO DO.

Finally, I think 17th Christian morals that decry the use of certain words in “polite” society are utter and total crap, and I especially find it difficult to understand how non-Christians can think such modern-day (self) censorship would be appropriate. The is no valid basis upon which to separate certain words as inappropriate in prose or conversation, and I will continue to use whatever language I deem appropriate in my posts, in much the same style as Bill Maher on Real TIme and Jon Stewart on the Daily Show (where, unfortunately, censors bleep out much of what he says due to archaic FCC regulations that pertain to basic cable.

25 years after r reagan, the worst president in US History, left office, the American system of public education lies in ruins due to his intentional effort to destroy it and turn education into a for-profit system that today is embodied in the charter school debacle that puts profits at number one, number two, and number three, and does not give a crap for actually educating
students. He is responsible for the vast homelessness that has grown exponentially since he first began his purge of mental hospitals while governor of California, throwing the mentally ill into the streets with no help, no benefits, and no concern. His “trickle-down” economics has been totally discredited yet remains the centerpiece of right wing economic policy, despite its essential place as the number one element of the economic holocaust the middle and working classes have endured for two decades.

These are the policies of a conservative president, and his legacy. The people put in power yesterday will bring about an exponentially worse catastrophe that is almost unimaginable. An end to government subsidies for health care, an end to food stamps, an end to public education, an end to unemployment benefits, an end to environmental protections, an end to food and water safety, and an end airline safety, but a massive increase in oil drilling, oil pipeline construction, fracking, pollution, and if they really get their way, foreign invasions. Want another ground war in the middle east? You’ve got it coming.

About theHoundDawg

For many years as a lawyer, I saw much of the good and bad of society, and did what I could to right many wrongs. The lack of understanding of what is good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, as evidenced by such events as the election of King W as president, (who as such far surpassed the evil of richard nixon but not quite that of ronald reagan) lead me in a new direction, to spend my time trying to understand what is happening to our society, to try as best I can to spread my insights to others, and along the way to maybe even eke out a living through the internet.
