Worse Than Tim Donnelly? Amazing, But True

Glenn Champ, a resident of Tollhouse, CA, in Fresno County, is seeking a new job. His resume is as follows:

  • 1992 – Guilty Plea to Carrying a Concealed Weapon;
  • 1993 – Conviction on two Counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Rape, resulting in a 90-day jail sentence and his placement on the state’s Sex Offender Registry;
  • 1998 – Guilty Plea to Loitering to Solicit a Prostitute;
  • 1998 – No Contest Plea to Voluntary Manslaughter, incurring a 12-year state prison sentence.

So, what job is he seeking? You’ll never guess.

He is asking his fellow California republicans to nominate him as their party’s candidate to run for the office of Governor of California.

Rather than run away from his past, he is apparently embracing it, as he has said that he will fit right in with other lawmakers, whom he calls criminals themselves, for their “routinely infringe[ing] on constitutionally protected gun rights.”

Ah, yes, another gop gun freak, just like Mr. Donnelly.

At least his criminal record includes no shootings – that Voluntary Manslaughter matter involved an automobile as his weapon of choice, as he ran down and killed a guy that he alleges was drunk and “got in the way”.

Too bad he didn’t spend some of that prison time in the library, brushing up on his writing skills. Her eis a sample from his website, ChampForGovernor.com. Warning – uncontrollable laughter could be dangerous for your health:

“GLENN CHAMP is a small contractor businessman that makes the crooked places straight and the rough places smooth. He builds roads, Highways, and freeways. A former G-man, welder, mechanic and contract firefighter.

“He was also raised in the mountains where work starts at a young age. He graduated from Sierra High school, college poly science, and would not stand for the unbiblical, communist, socialist, curriculum brain washing in college.

“CHAMP 48, is of all American Christian heritage.”

“CHAMP represents a new breed of Christian soldier moving forward in the army of the lord, on the highway of righteousness, stomping on the devil’s head, with a new song of righteousness’s in our hearts.

“The gubernatorial candidate opposed what he called, ‘ungodly legislation drafted by demonic terrorist extremists own agenda’, that refuse to follow the Biblical or constitution guide lines. This will involve a total overhaul of court house, school house, and church house!”

There is so much stuff there that is entertaining to read, though the bottom line is that it certainly is scary, that someone like this could run for the state’s top office. Among all his rantings, conspicuously missing is any mention of his criminal past or the fact that he is a registered sex offender. He also fails to mention that he has other web postings where he has stated his support for the breaking up of the state of California, and the formulation of a new state of Jefferson from some of the ashes.

And I thought that teabagger Assemblyman

Tim Donnelly, who should himself now be serving a lengthy prison sentence, was bad enough.

About theHoundDawg

For many years as a lawyer, I saw much of the good and bad of society, and did what I could to right many wrongs. The lack of understanding of what is good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, as evidenced by such events as the election of King W as president, (who as such far surpassed the evil of richard nixon but not quite that of ronald reagan) lead me in a new direction, to spend my time trying to understand what is happening to our society, to try as best I can to spread my insights to others, and along the way to maybe even eke out a living through the internet.
